First, I want to thank the San Mateo County Pharmacists for welcoming me and untimately electing me to be your president. I am both honored and humbled to accept this position. I actually live in Newark, but I was working in Palo Alto, so it was easy for me to drive up to the CE dinners in San Mateo. Even though I no longer work in Palo Alto but work at my own pharmacy in Hayward, I continue to be a part of this association because SMCPhA is a passionate group with the most dedicated members, and they have a mission that I strongly believe in and that mission is to:
*provide community services,
*advance the profession of pharmacy, and
*provide our members with resources to achieve their career goals. For my opresidency term, I'd like to begin with a quote from
George Bernard Shaw:"Some people see things as they are and wonder why. We dream of things that ought to be and ask why not".
